Fixing and Updating Realtek Drivers

Even though your PC might be perfectly well optimized, it might happen that you cannot access your Realtek devices.  There are several potential sources of this problem.   It might be that this device is not compatible to your operating system, virus attack, malware issues, conflict with another device, invalid Realtek device configuration,  …  But when the case is that only particular device is not responding, most often the problem is with the Realtek driver.

Once you know what kind of device driver you need, next step is to locate, download and install this driver. You can go directly to manufacturer’s website and search it for the Realtek driver you need.  This might be a bit tedious and time-consuming since this kind of information is usually buried somewhere deep in support section of the website.  What’s even worse is that some manufacturers don’t even offer the driver download or they don’t keep complete archive of all the available drivers (e.g. they wouldn’t keep old drivers).
The alternative to downloading a driver from the official website is to download it from a third party server.  There are many websites on internet that catalogue drivers.  You can visit one of these sites, search for Realtek driver and simply download it to your hard drive.  But be careful, some of these sites disguise viruses and malware as driver files.  You might be downloading a whole lot of problems.
